2) Groove Union
Groove Union is car owners who want to drive in their own street car or racecar at GrandSport Speedway to test it out before they commit to the GrandSport Motorsports Country Club. We have several different run groups from raw novices with no experience to seasoned pro's! If you do not have any track experience we can teach you the high performance skills in our novice class to drive your car on the track! This is track lapping and not racing. Some groups allow controlled passing in certain zones. Groove Union is designed as a testing grounds to help you decide if you would like to join our membership. You can only participate in one Groove Union event per year.
The schedule is lower down this page for your review.
Novice Group - Racing Adventures Level 1
This is the first timer/beginners group. You will learn the basics of high performance driving in a Racing Adventures Level 1 program! Instructors will work with you all the time to get you up to speed with others of your level. This a very structured program and no passing is allowed. Novice level also includes the all important track etiquette information which includes how to get on and off the track safely, flags and track etiquette. Once you have mastered this level and a instructor has signed you off you can advance to the Bronze group. You may be asked to complete a multiple choice knowledge test before you are allowed on the track.
$349 per day
The bronze group is for drivers with limited track experience or those that have advanced from the Novice Group. Drivers in the Bronze Group will work under the direct supervision of an instructor. An instructor may ride along if asked by the student or an instructor may request to ride long with any driver in this group. Drivers may lap on their own if the instructor directs them to. No passing is allowed. If a Bronze Group driver gets slowed behind traffic they will pull into the hot pit area and then a track official will place them onto the track in an area where they have more room to run. Sessions will be controlled with flags. You may be asked to complete a multiple choice knowledge test before you are allowed on the track.
